Construction Document Management:
Alberta Oil Sands Case Study
A major oil sands operator implemented Enterprise Engineer to manage its construction document management requirements and associated processes and to ensure as-builts are available to Operations & Maintenance.
The objective was to provide consistent business
processes enabling the workforce to move easily between projects
and sites. Standardization helped deal with shortfall
in resources and improve construction document managment
processes. Accurate validated as-built drawings required to be
made available.
The expected cost savings resulting from aligned processes was
over $5 million for one site alone.
Key functionality:
- Controlled, auditable processes for the
management of change of asset documents by external parties
