McLaren Software Announces
Enterprise Engineer for Drawings

We are pleased to announce the availability of Enterprise Engineer for Drawings a complete application for managing both drawing management processes and AutoCAD and MicroStation drawings. Enterprise Engineer for Drawings bridges the gap between CAD applications and ECM platforms, ensuring that both CAD and non-CAD users have easy and reliable access to validated drawings and documentation.

Enterprise Engineer for Drawings is the next logical step up from a basic CAD to ECM integration by offering a full drawing management application including review and markup without the need for expensive and lengthy platform customization.

Supported by both EMC Documentum and IBM FileNET P8 ECM platforms, Enterprise Engineer for Drawings is a proven, enterprise scalable application that addresses the problem of managing both the drawing management process and the complexity of engineering drawings increasing user confidence that they can find the correct drawing.

The reduction of time wasted and risk associated with engineering drawings can be further extended to all forms of engineering documentation used in both engineering projects and assets operations with other applications within the McLaren Enterprise Engineer suite.

McLaren Software announces McLaren Work Manager - designed specifically to simplify user adherence to business processes involved with management of engineering and other business critical documents.

Work Manager Ribbon Bar

McLaren Work Manager and Enterprise Engineer provide an ideal solution for any organization requiring teams of people to create, review, approve and publish engineering documentation to pre-determined business rules.  Whether for compliance or internal efficiency purposes McLaren Work Manager presents a familiar Microsoft interface masking the complexity of the business processes to be applied.

"McLaren Work Manager is a Microsoft .Net Smart Client utilizing the Microsoft Fluent User™ user interface as used in Microsoft Office 2007™. Ribbon bars change according to options available to a user at any given step in a process and the graphical look and feel accelerates user adoption and reduces the need for re-training. Super-tooltips provide on-screen help describing the purpose of an individual button. The quick access bar allows users to configure their own shortcuts allowing a degree of personalization."
Gray Knowlton, Group Product Manager, Microsoft Corp. commented.
