Overview:
This course is an adaptation of the business fundamentals course and can be delivered at a customer site to reflect a customer’s specific Enterprise Engineer implementation.

This course is recommended as part of a customer’s “go-live” planning. Specific requirements will be captured by the McLaren Services team and a Scope of Work will be defined.

The aim of this course is to provide Enterprise EngineerTM users with the knowledge required to carry out key tasks including,

  • Creating and Managing Documents,
  • Creating and Participating in Review and Approval Processes

  • Running Enterprise Engineer Reports

This course will provide technical staff with the knowledge and skills required to install and manage Enterprise Engineer. It is designed to provide System Administrators with valuable insight into the Enterprise EngineerTM processes.

Through in-depth interactive demonstrations, system monitoring, typical administrative tasks and troubleshooting exercises, the System Administrators will be provided with the necessary information and skills to identify and resolve potential problems before they arise. 

Example course topics include:

  • Installation of Enterprise EngineerTM
  • Understanding McLaren log files
  • McLaren Enterprise Server administration
  • Setting up and managing the McLaren Reprographics Server
  • Troubleshooting the McLaren Reprographics Server.
  • Enterprise EngineerTM Transmittals Portal administration
  • Security overview
  • System maintenance including patch deployment methodology

Pre-requisites:

  • Good general knowledge of mainstream enterprise IT systems
  • Understanding of EMC DocumentumTM or IBM – FileNet P8TM ECM platforms (to level of general administration)
  • Knowledge of web application servers (ApacheTM, JBOSSTM, OracleTM) is desirable
  • Understanding of the concepts covered by the McLaren Business Fundamentals course

Application Administration

Overview:
This course will enable Technical Teams, Application Business Owners or System Administrators to fully understand Enterprise Engineer applications and how to administer them on an ongoing basis.

During this course the attendees will learn how to manage security groups, users and how to create additional templates and combo-box (pick list) values and make them available to end users. The use of watermarks, signature pages, changes to workflows and email notification settings are also covered.

A service to create tailored training material to support an individual customer Enterprise Engineer configuration based on a completed configuration statement.  The courseware will be targeted to an agreed audience of end users.
