Idox plc acquires Sword
CTSpace from Sword Group, to enhance McLaren
Software portfolio in engineering document management & control
market
Houston, Texas, USA; 15 November 2011 - McLaren Software has
today announced that its parent company, UK based IDOX plc, has
acquired CTSpace from the Sword Group to create the largest
enterprise class engineering document management and control
software company.
Under the McLaren Software brand the combined product portfolio
provides on premise engineering document management and control
applications, complemented by cloud based project collaboration
solutions to owner operators and EPCs in asset intensive
industries. Enterprise EngineerTM and Fusion EnterpriseTM are
accredited by EMC and IBM reflecting the increasing industry
support for specialist software companies creating applications for
Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platforms.
Richard Kellett-Clarke, CEO of IDOX plc,
said:
"The IDOX objective continues to be the creation of
an organization to meet the specialized needs of the world's
largest companies whose businesses are reliant on large operational
assets. IDOX have been delighted with McLaren's 25% revenue grown
in its first ten months of ownership since its acquisition in
December 2010 and continue to invest in this market as a
key part of the group's growth strategy. With this acquisition
McLaren now have the critical mass, expertise, geographical reach
and financial backing to meet the most demanding of customer
requirements.
As the world demand for energy, drug manufacturing
and natural resources increases so do the regulatory and economic
pressures to ensure the safe, environmentally sound and cost effect
execution of major capital projects and asset operations. The
expanded McLaren organization provides unequalled industry and
technical expertise focussed solely on the development and delivery
of engineering document management and control
solutions."
