Can DocLoader import xml content which may contain different files held within it, basically a virtual document?

ADocloader can be configured to meet this requirement. We may need to provide you with some configuration assistance but we will be pleased to do this when you receive your evaluation licence.

DocLoader can load any type of document, as long as it is defined inside Documentum.
Using what we refer to as 'Post Processing' you can indeed put these together as a virtual document.

We have recently Migrated to Documentum 6 can DocLoader still support us?

We want to migrate data files from Unix based file archive system to Documentum. The metadata will be from Oracle. Do you think that DocLoader will help us with this task?

Basically, you need to extract the metadata from Oracle into any delimited format file (CSV etc) or a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet (xls/xlsx) - either of which can then be used by DocLoader to import into Documentum.

During the import process DocLoader can automatically take the content from your Unix system, provided you run DocLoader on a windows based machine and can map a standard UNC path to the Unix file system content.

What is the expected input format of a document you need to read documents (images+indexes)?

Docloader uses Excel as part of the import process so for the metadata any format that can be read by Excel, (Comma\space delimited, xls, etc etc). For the content, any content supported by the target repository

What is the level of accuracy that DocLoader can offer? (Will contents document in source be as in destination document)

DocLoader utilises the Documentum API and import function to load the content. This is a direct copy of the content from the filesystem. No additional checks are carried out, however a full log, including any exceptions, is maintained and can be stored in the repository as a record of the batch.
